Wow, what the heck have I done??? I've gone out and got *gasp* a....job. I haven't worked outside the home in over seven years. Even though I had completed all the necessary paperwork, I had not taken that final step. Taking said paperwork to the school district. Which I did today, and lo and behold, all the people who have been telling me the local school district really needs substitute teachers, they weren't lying. Tomorrow morning (at way too early in the morning) I have my first substitute assignment.
I know this school district will be vastly different from the last one in which I substituted, I'm still apprehensive. I'm fairly sure not one student will choke another one on the way back from lunch, which happened at the last school district. However, not having worked in so long is making this a slightly scary situation for me.
